Park Review
A nice quiet suburban park. The dog park takes up a good portion of the park itself. There is a small and large dog area separated by a common fence. There are plenty of benches with shade but no water so bring your own. The grass is in need of rehabilitation and there are no special features.

This is a good park that the vast majority of it's users take pride in and take care of. We have few if any problem dogs and a really good group of folks that use the park. It's not large but even the big energetic dogs have plenty of room to run. It is about 50% grass and 50% dirt. For the most part the users do a good job of cleaning up after their dogs. Poop bags are provided by the City of Peoria.
This could be a great park but the city doesn't seem to take management of it seriously. My only real problem with it is the fact that it is mostly dirt and yet the city workers seem to think that if they water the park at night/early morning that they are going to grow grass. There are approximately 8 sprinkler heads within the large dog enclosure that are designed to go in a circle. They don't overlap therefore there is only grass within reach of the sprinkler heads. Please change the heads or put in more. Secondly and more important to me is the fact that they water late so that when I get there in the a.m. (early 6 a.m. in the summer) the dirt is mud. Easy solution, water the park earlier in the evening and give it time to dry. Please! grade: C- - Kelly
The dog park is excellent, well maintained and used by a good cross section of both the nearby and further out community. - Larry
Very good park; does need more grassy areas - dirt a problem when sprinklers on too early in morning. Would be nice if water source near pavilion. Caretaker does outstanding job, very friendly and accommodating - treats park as if his backyard. Great group of regular users. Recommend. - anonymous
