Park Review
This is a truly outstanding park. It is well designed with plenty of parking, restrooms and lots of open space. The main feature of this park is a man made cement pond where dogs can go swimming and get some relief from the summer heat. There is a beautiful sand beach that is fenced in so your dog can't swim off and run away.
There are also two fenced in grassy areas in case your dog doesn't like water. It is very chaotic with small and large dogs mixing but I saw very little aggression as most dogs focus is constantly drawn to the water. Highly recommended!

I give it a C. The whole park had an unkept appearance. I'd say that the main enclosure only had about 10% of it grass, and that was in low traffic areas. The rest was dirt or mud. The small one, for timid dogs was fine. The lake portion was OK. There were bowling ball sized globs of algae floating around. It would be nice if they skimmed it once a month. I realize that most municipalities are short of funds and that might explain what happened to this jewel of a park. This is Arizona, why no drinking fountains in the dog area? - Bob
