Park Review

This is a nice park. There are many canopies for shade and more benches for sitting than normal. This would be a good park for seniors and people who would like to relax while their dogs frolic.

The small dog park is very small. The large dog park is good sized with grass in the center and a dirt track around the outer perimeter. I was told by one user that occasionally they fence off the grass island for rehab leaving access to the perimeter track open. There is water and some exercise equipment for the dogs. On wednesdays the main dog park is closed but a backup dog park is open about 50 yards to the west.

Very nice park with lots of seating for pet owners.  They do fence off the grass area 2 times each year for re-seeding but the grass doesn't last very long. There is obstacle equipment in the large dog area but my dogs don't get to use it very often as the large dogs are often much too aggressive for my little ones. I would like to see some smaller obstacle equipment on the small dog side.  Small dog side is a bit too small for the amount of use that it gets. - danielle

I began to use the small dog park about two months ago when the weather was cool.  Although the large dog park has a number of shade canopies over the benches there are none at the small park which will make it impossible to use very soon.  A number of us that have been using the small dog park wondered why no shade canopies were ever built over the benches. - K
