Park Review

This dog park is hard to locate but for residents of the far south west side of town it's an oasis in the desert. You take Estrella Parkway south past MC85 about one half mile and it is on your right.

There is water and good grass and two canopies for shade in each park. The park is split into active and passive areas of equal size. There are bulletin boards for posting news in each park. There is a restroom and ample parking. The city of Goodyear has put together a simple yet smart dog park that they should be proud of.

I give it an A- because there needs to be one more light installed for nights. It needs to be installed at the spot where the gate is that connects both sides together out in the grassy area. Without the light we have a very dark area in the center of the park. We also have one owner who has two Great Pyrenees dogs that average one dog fight a week. They have also attacked individuals. She needs to put muzzles on her dogs for everyone's safety. Overall, the park is much nicer than the (Dysart Road just south of Indian School Road) dog park in Goodyear. Long skinny 2 sided park with water buckets. - T
